Lawmaker From Russia's Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District Killed At Moscow Home


Aleksandr Kolodich, a lawmaker in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District in Siberia, has been stabbed to death in his home in Moscow. The Investigative Committee said on June 12 that Kolodich's wife was hospitalized with multiple stub wounds. The couple's 36-year-old gardener was detained as a suspect in the case. According to preliminary investigations, the 58-year-old Kolodich and his gardener quarreled on an unspecified issue, which escalated to the deadly conflict.
