Community In Swat, Pakistan, Proud Of Malala Yousafzai
Malala Yousufzai, a young Pakistani activist who was attacked by Taliban militants, addressed the UN Youth Assembly on July 12 to advocate education for all children. In her home town of Mingora, in the Pakistani region of Swat, Malala's former teacher said that her activism has helped improve conditions for schoolchildren there. Malala and two other girls were wounded in a Taliban attack last year. She has since recovered and is continuing her schooling in Britain. (Video by Niaz Ahmad Khan, RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal)
