Holodomor: Starving To Death In Soviet Ukraine
In 1932-33, the Soviet regime of Josef Stalin took all the available grain from Ukrainian villager, leaving them with nothing. Over 3 million people died. In the village of Targan, south of Kyiv, those living in 360 out of 900 houses died of starvation. In one case, parents ate their own son. Aleksandra Avdiuk and her friend, Lesia Maslov, were kids at the time of the famine. They remember what happened.
