1. Change the structure of its economy;

2. Provide special support programs for industries at risk (machinery, light industry among others);

3. Provide social security for those in need;

4. Balance the country’s budget -- the deficit shouldn’t exceed 3 percent;

5. Strengthern trust between the government and business.

“I know that it is not easy for many,” Putin says in regards to the economic situation. It is complicated, but not critical, he emphasizes.

Russia should not wait for oil prices to grow. We have to be ready for the fact that sanctions and low prices will stay with us for a while, he says.
