Putin Plans To Visit China On May 16-17

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit China on May 16-17, according to the Kremlin's website. Putin is scheduled to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, and Prime Minister Li Qiang. Putin will also take part in several events devoted to Russian-Chinese relations. It will be Putin's first foreign trip since his reelection to a fifth term in office in March. Putin, for whom an international arrest warrant has been issued by the International Criminal Court, has rarely traveled abroad since launching the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
