Tajik-Russian citizen Salimdzhon Nasriddinov and Russian-Canadian citizen Nikolai Goltsev on July 9 pleaded guilty to illegally exporting millions of dollars worth of U.S. electronics to be used in Russian weapons in Ukraine, the U.S. Justice Department said in a statement. The two face up to 20 years in prison for conspiring to commit export-control violations. Goltsev's wife, Kristina Puzyreva, who is also Russian-Canadian, pleaded guilty to similar charges in February. The trio was arrested in October 2023 on suspicion of sending more than 300 shipments of restricted items valued at about $10 million to Russia.
