Former Photographer For Navalny's Team Sentenced To Eight Years In Prison In Moscow

A Moscow court on November 3 sentenced Aleksandr Strukov, the former photographer of jailed opposition politician Aleksei Navalny’s team, to eight years in prison on charges of public calls for terrorism, inciting hatred, and violating citizens' rights to practice religion. The court also banned Strukov from administering websites for two years after his release from prison. The charges stem from Strukov's posts on Telegram criticizing President Vladimir Putin and his government. Strukov was arrested in late January last year.
