Russian opposition politician Aleksei Navalny, who is serving a total of 19 years in prison on extremism and other charges, has been placed in a punitive solitary confinement for the 20th time since August 2022. The post says the solitary confinement term was only four days this time because his appeal against his conviction is scheduled to be considered by a court on September 26.
