Eyeing Russia, Sweden Shows Military Muscle On Gotland
The island of Gotland is a sleepy Swedish outpost in the Baltic Sea, but it holds enormous strategic value. Military commanders say that if a conflict erupted in the Baltic States, control over Gotland would mean control of the entire region. With a watchful eye on Russia, Sweden is now set to deploy permanent military forces on Gotland for the first time in a decade. Produced by Margot Buff, RFE/RL; reporting by Elisabeth Braw
