KAMAZ, the largest Russian manufacturer of trucks, buses, and vehicle engines, banned its employees from using Apple products for work-related tasks on August 21, through a decree signed by Director General Sergey Kogogin. The ban includes Apple smartphones, watches, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. SIM cards belonging to the company must not be used on Apple devices, it says. In March 2022, Apple and other international companies suspended sales within Russia after the launch of the Kremlin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The official Apple Online Store became inaccessible in Russia, shipments of devices were halted, and access to Apple Pay was blocked.
