At Least 16 Russians Killed In Attack On Israel, Embassy Says

At least 16 Russian citizens died in the attack on October 7 in southern Israel by Hamas -- designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and EU -- the Russian Embassy in Israel said on October 14. Eight Russian citizens are listed as missing, and at least one Russian was taken hostage by Hamas and is being held in the Gaza Strip, according to the embassy. Earlier it was reported that four Russians were killed. All of them were citizens of both Russia and Israel. To read the original story by RFE/RL's Russian Service, click here.
