Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, who is also acting prime minister, said on March 21 that relations with Russia and China are in Belgrade's "vital national interest." A U.S. State Department spokesman, in response to a request from RFE/RL for comment on the meeting, said the United States does not believe any country “should provide Mr. Putin a platform to promote or justify his ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine."
