Ukraine's agriculture minister offered to resign on April 25 after he was named as a suspect in a multimillion-dollar corruption investigation. Mykola Solskiy offered his resignation in a handwritten letter, which Ukrainian parliamentary Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk published on Facebook. Solskiy’s offer will be considered at an upcoming session of parliament, Stefanchuk said. Solskiy has been accused of illegally seizing land worth about 291 million hryvnyas ($7 million). Solskiy says the matter involves events in 2017-2018 and land that was given to soldiers "in accordance with the law." He promised to cooperate with the investigation.
