'You've Given Me A Second Life': Ukrainian Heart Transplant Recipient Thanks Widow

When former Ukrainian soldier Aslan Mamedov was declared brain dead following a car accident in 2024, his wife honored his wishes to donate his organs to save others' lives. Mamedov's heart was transplanted into the body of Oleh Babiy, who met his donor's widow for the first time recently. During the tearful exchange in Kyiv, Babiy told her, "The heart of your dear one beats inside me."
