President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on "patriotic education of youth" while on a visit to Luhansk Oblast, tweeted his spokesman Svyatoslav Tsegolko.

In June, Poroshenko commissioned a strategy of national-patriotic education of children and youth for 2016-2020. According to the decree, the government has to modernize schools, museums, libraries and other cultural institutions of national and patriotic education. It also has to involve children and youth in learning about Ukrainian history and culture, its sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic choice, RFE/RL Ukrainian Service reports.
