Protests Continue In Ukraine As Zelenskyy Changes Course On Corruption Law
Ukrainians rallied in cities across the country for a second day on July 23 after the passage of a law affecting the work of two anti-corruption agencies. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the legislation was intended to counter Russian influence on the agencies, but protesters and EU leaders said it would undermine their independence. Responding to the protests, Zelenskyy said he would submit a new bill to parliament.
