Ukraine’s charge d’affaires in Armenia, Oleksandr Senchenko, has died in an apparent drowning incident at the high-altitude Lake Sevan in the country’s east on August 13, Armenian officials said. On August 14, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry confirmed Senchenko's death, calling him an experienced and highly qualified diplomat who had worked in the ministry since 2003.
