Johnny O'Reilly is a Kyiv-based journalist and filmmaker from Ireland. He has covered events in the former Soviet region for two decades, including the 2020-21 protests in Belarus for The Times of London. He has written for Rolling Stone, The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, and many more. As a writer/director, he has made multiple award-winning films. His two Russian-language feature films, The Weather Station and Moscow Never Sleeps, received critical acclaim and cinema distribution worldwide.
