Russian, Ukrainian Speakers Urge Closer Bilateral Ties


Oleksandr Moroz (file photo) (epa) October 12, 2006 -- The parliamentary speakers of Russian and Ukraine today called for stronger bilateral ties during a meeting in Moscow.


Oleksandr Moroz, on his first foreign visit as head of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, told State Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov that Kyiv will cooperate in joint economic projects, and expressed the hope that issues relating to Russia's supply of energy to Ukraine can be resolved.
