Fail Sadretdinov was sentenced to nine years in prison. A jury last May acquitted two Chechens who had been accused in the 2004 killing of Klebnikov, the editor of Forbes magazine's Russian edition.
Sadretdinov, who prosecutors alleged was linked with the two Chechens, was acquitted as well. Russia's highest court later overturned the acquittal and ordered a new trial.
