HIV Positive Russian TV Host Battles Stigma

TV host Pavel Lobkov is encouraging other Russians living with HIV to reject social stigma and seek medical treatment. As a journalist for the independent television station Dozhd, Lobkov last year became one of the first public figures in Russia to announced he was HIV positive. In a nation where the issue remains largely taboo, Lobkov offered words of hope and encouragement for Russians suffering from the virus. (RFE/RL's Tom Balmforth)
