In the mountains of Georgia, workers risk their lives every year to climb more than 50 meters up fir trees to collect cones that supply seeds to Christmas-tree farms across Europe. While millions of Christmas trees hail from the mountains and valleys of Racha, the people there get only a tiny portion of the proceeds from this multimillion-dollar seasonal industry.
