NATO foreign ministers have dismissed warnings by Russian President Vladimir Putin after allowing Kyiv to use Western weapons to strike inside Russia for the limited purpose of defending the eastern city of Kharkiv. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said Ukraine had the right to defend itself as foreign ministers from the alliance gathered on May 31 for an informal meeting in the Czech capital, Prague. Putin has raised the risk of nuclear war in warning NATO members against allowing Ukraine to fire their weapons into Russia.
