Prisoner Exchange Brings Home 175 Ukrainian Soldiers, Embraced By Tearful Families

Amid tears and grins, 175 Ukrainian soldiers returned home on March 19 -- some of whom had been held in Russian prisons for nearly three years. Ukraine returned an equal number of Russian POWs in a deal worked out between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone. An additional 22 gravely wounded Ukrainian soldiers were returned by Russia in what it described as a goodwill gesture.
