Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's wife has lost her job at NRW.Global Business, a trade and investment agency of North Rhine-Westphalia, after she and her husband attended a Victory Day event at the Russian Embassy in Berlin on May 9. The agency announced on May 16 that it was terminating relations with So-yeon Schroeder-Kim, who represented the agency in South Korea. Gerhard Schroeder was chancellor from 1998-2005. He has been known for his involvement with Russian state energy giants Rosneft and Gazprom and with Nord Stream AG, which operates undersea gas pipelines leading to Russia.
