A wave of car bombs in the Iraqi capital has killed at least 51 people and wounded more than 100 others.
Officials say at least 11 separate bombs struck Shi'ite-majority areas of Baghdad and a confessionally mixed area just to its north.
The deadliest attack was said to have been in the Sadr City area of Baghdad.
Militants have carried out a string of sectarian attacks in central Iraq, raising the specter of a return to the all-out Sunni-Shi'ite conflict that peaked in 2006-07 and killed tens of thousands of people.
The blasts came a day after a suicide bomber attacked mourners at a Shi'ite mosque south of Baghdad, collapsing the roof and killing 27 people.
