Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on August 7 endorsed bills extending martial law and a general military mobilization for 90 days starting on August 12. Ukrainian lawmakers approved the bills on July 23. Martial law and the general mobilization were last extended in May, the 11th such prolongation since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
