Kasparov Accuses Russian Police Of Brutality

Former chess champion Kasparov on April 21 accused police who beat and detained protesters of "brutality and cruelty."

Kasparov met the same day with prosecutors in connection with a lawmaker's demand for an inquiry into whether police acted illegally in detaining him during a protest in Moscow on April 14.
